Yea cherry bomb is an acutally brand name.. They are really low on the food chain as far as quality.. They do make mufflers that arent red and arent glass packs but they are subpar.. Just get flowmaster 40 series' if youre on a budget.

The popping sound you get from glasspacks is from poor design.A small pipe is raspy. If the pipe is the right size, you will get a very deep sound from a glasspack, or any flow-through muffler, for that matter.I have Spiral Flows on my '65 (like a glasspack, but no packing), and the sound is very deep and loud.
