hi have a 87 conv and want to clean the trunk lid of the junk that ford put on... will a 79-93 notchback plain trunk lid work ? or do you have to weld up the holes

From what im told a notch trunk does work, but you may have to reverse the hinges. you know how a notch trunk is bolted to the inside, and convert is on the outside (which is ugly). anyway, yeah i actually think the trunk on my car is from a notch because there is no sign of luggage rack or body work. Anyway, good luck and let me know if you do it. i need a new trunklid myself, its shot.

 

I am not sure if the will work or not. But you can get a new fiberglass deck lid for about 250.00. I know finding a cheaper oem one from a boneyard would be cheaper, but I just thought I would throw that out there.
