Default trany swap

does anyone know what would be needed to complete swaping an automatic to a manual trans in a 96 gt

Dude, do a search it's been asked/answered 1,000 times. Not be an ***, but that's what the search button is there for. Look up "automatic to manual conversion"

well i have done that but all i can find are 5.0 t-5 swaps when i need to know about a t-45.

You really would be better off living with the auto, or selling the car and buying a 5-speed GT. IMO the work involved is just not worth it unless you have some incredibly rare car, which a Mustang obviously isn't. You can do a lot to your auto to make it more fun, like a manual valve body, shift kit, and ratchet shifter. I guarantee you if you buy those things you will notice a world of difference and you'll be able to outshift any manual and you won't have to worry about missing a gear.
