im taking the crankshaft pulley and replaing it with a new one. i already have the belt of and now im taking off the dampener bolt, this thing is so TIGHT. any recommendations to get it off?

 

If you have a manual transmission leave the car in 2nd or 3rd gear and try gettin it off that way.An automatic will require that you use an impact wrench to knock it off.
Make sure the washer under the bolt comes out before you try to pull the pulley off.

 

Dont struggle with it... Impact it. Hunt around for a freind or neighboor with a cordless impact if you dont have air, because these are a bitch to remove on pretty much anycar.
