Default Bassani "optimum length" vs. Ford racing shorties

If i go the header route soon I'm wanting to know which ones i should get, and what kind of numbers i could expect...I already have a Bassani x-pipe (not a short one, so I cannot get Long Tubes!)...Are the optimum length headers as difficult to install as the long tubes?? would they be worth the price?? the Bassani x-pipe i have is great quality!! but their headers are quite a bit more $$ than other shorties...Let me know, Thanks guys

do you still need to drop the k-member to port shorties on a mod motor car?

I'd have to say if I "had" to get shorties, it'd be the Bassani. You can swap shorties fairly easily without removing the k-member... he'll I heard you can even do it with longtubes but I couldn't see how that'd be possible when I did mine.

there will not be any great hp difference in any set you choose due mostly to your mods..now if you using a supercharging @10-15 psi then maybe......until a header is tuned(where the real hp is) then it's a peferance thing

whatever brand you decide on, always get the equal length headers, no matter what.

Bassani Optimum length headers all the way. Everyone I've spoken to about them said that even though they are mid length, they perform much like long tubes without all the install hassle. They'll bolt right up to your X pipe too. I'd recommend Ceramic 4602VC, that's what I'm getting.

JBA makes the best short tube headers on the planet.
