you can't vent to the atmosphere after the mass air meter, if the BOV is after the mass air meter you gotta vent it back into the system - else you'll vent metered air. draw though meter means the turbo / sc is after the meter drawing air through it - blow through is when the turbo is before the meter blowing compressed air through it. You just can't vent metered air to the atmospere else you'll run bad rich

ok, so i know exactly what the problem is but not sure what to do about it... what if i somehow moved the maf to just before the throttle body... so instead of this: MAF-TURBO-INTERCOOLER-BOV-THROTTLE BODY..... it went like this: TURBO-INTERCOOLER-BOV-MAF-THROTTLE BODY

that should work fine as the inlet air will be at the lower temp after the intercooler and you want the MAF to meter only the air going into the throttle body, not anything being blown off. you do also want the inlet air temp sensor reading the air temp after the intercooler, not before it too for best accuracy of measurement of air flow into the engine. I'm not that familiar with MAF, but if the air temp sensor is built into the MAF meter, then you should be fine.

Ya know this is the first turbo setup that i've heard of anyone running the maf before everything, read about it, but never heard of anyone using it. How odd. Did you know thats bad for performance? & also the turbo will be louder with the maf after everything. You're problem is definitly the location of all your parts.

bad for performance? it is no diffent than a superchager and vortechs put the m/a before every thing.

friends car had a turbo m/a before the turbo its a 347 with canfield heads hyd roller cam did not hurt his performance any put 612 hp and 626 tq with 12 pounds of boost and only 10deg of timing total to the tires and ran 9.90s @139 not to bad for a street car that needs the m/a moved!

The location there will give your maf in incorrect reading due to the intercooler making the air more dense. It takes a little away from performance.
