Default v6 modification

I'm new here guys, I just bought my first Mustang, and am looking tocomplete a V6dailydriverwithout an engine swap or a new car. I just put in acarbon/ceramic performance clutch and flywheel, and busted my transmission. I don't know exactly what broke yet,so I'm looking for a rebuild kit for the 2000 T5 that is going to handle 300-400 lb ft of torque. The clutch is rated at 500 lb ft. My search so far points me to the direction of a brick wall. Would a world classT5 rebuild be the way to go? Do any other transmissions fit? I could use some help sourcing these parts.

I do believe that T-5s are all interchangable. You may just need to swap out input shafts and some bearings. I have had nothing but trans trouble with our '89 5.0 Hope you get it figured out...

If you are looking for those kind of power levels I would highly suggest buying a TKO 600 transmission. It can handle 600ftlbs and anything you can throw at it with your engine. Its a 5 speed and you have a few choices on gears in it as well. I personally like the .62 OD gear.

Best of luck

PS there are cheaper transmissions out there that will handle 300ftlbs just have to search around.
