okay i have a 2000 v6 stang....read the codes that came up....these are it..........P1309 and P0340...... any one know what these are...?

 

p0340 is a camshaft position sensor circuit and p1309 is also related to the cam sensor.. to be exact it is "Misfire Mon-Hdwr-CMP misaligned CKP/CMP noise, PCM AICE chip.

Could be a faulty CMP, corroded connection, etc..

 

any tips?

 

Not really, price out a cam sensor, but that may not be the problem. Like I said check the connection first..
