Default 4.6 Engine Question

I have access to a VERY low mileage 1997 Lincoln Continental 4.6 Intech engine. Will this bolt right up to a TR3650 5 speed transmission? If not, does someone make an adapter that works well? The owner says it is set up for front wheel drive, and that all you have todo is havean adapter made to make it work. He says that "any good mechanic can do it". Could someone please shed some light on this subject for me? It is a very nice engine, but I want to make sure it will work for me. Please let me know.
greatguy57078@yahoo.com Thank you.
