Well when I get more money I will probably by a supercharger for it. They sell em for about 3 grand or so on certain sites and I will add som nitrous to it too. I wanna see a rice burner keep up with that. lol Anyway, i am a noob about what a stroker is though, so it doesn't mean displacement? Or if it does then im affraid that I wont be able to fit the engine in the car and still keep my air conditioner or power steering. I live in las vegas and a car without air conditioning is like finding me in a honda... it wont ever happen. lol All I know is that a 428 engine wont fit in my car without removing the air conditioner and if the displacement is 408 then thats pretty close. Although like I said im a retard so please explain what a stroker is, and is it the same size as a 351 or does it have a bigger displacement like what im thinkin. Thanks.

A stroker is an engine based off a standard block but with a different crank/rods to increase the stroke of the engine. A 347 for example, is a 302 block but instead of having a 3" stroke crank and a 5.09" rod, it is replaced with a 3.4" stroke crank and a 5.4" rod, on the outside it's still a 302, but discplacement internally becomes 347. A 408 is the same thing, it's still using a 351W block, but by changing the crank/rods you can get 408cid out of a 351W block. That's what many people do for just the reason you have, no room for a big block so they stroke a small block, it's big inch cubes from a small engine block.

Oh I understand now. That sounds good to me. So how much would it cost to turn my engine into what that guy described with the 465h 500t 408 stroker. Would it be less then 5000 because I already have the engine or more? But this definitely sounds like the best route.

For the cost of turning my engine into a stroker would I have quality parts in it for the price I was wanting? ($5000-$6000)

Oh and I have a quick question. The guages in my 69 mustang are a little off. MPH works accuarately. Oil Pressure is good I believe. The temp is a litle off and the ammount of gas is off by a quarter of a tank. How do you make them accurate again? Also my Oil Pressure Plastic covering is a little foggy, can you clean that up a bit? If so what do you do? Shave it a little or spray somthing? I don't know. Please help guys. Thanks a lot.

Never mind. I found a site that sells the replacement plastic for the guages. Although I'm still curious about some average prices on a 351w rebuilt to a 408 stroker. Anyone had this done before? If so please let me know your cost so I can have an Idea myself. Thanks Guys.

I have a question. My 351w inside my car now, my replacement motor, is overheating real bad. I have a new waterpump, thermostat, and I have a very large radiator (3-4 core). I dont know what could be causing this. Please help guys. Thanks.
