quick question which is faster stick or auto
With relations to consistency and strip racing, I like autos because they NEVER miss a gear. Sooner or later, even a good driver's gonna bind 'em and grind 'em. Not so with an auto.
Consistency = Auto
Stock = Manual
Modded = Auto
Drag = Auto
Auto-X = Manual
I want a reverse manual valve body, 3500+ stall, shift kit, 4.10s.... That car woud HAUL ***...

How do you figure an auto is going to outpreform a stick at the track? With an auto you can only do a brake stand to launch and with a stick you get more power to the wheels.
also arent the gear rations on the manual higher?

Depends what you want to do....
For serious drag racing...yes
For messing around town and the weekend track event or two, manual is going to be faster.

IMO an automatic tranny built right with a proper stall converter and right rear gears will outrun a 5 speed manual tranny car all day long at the strip and it won't ever miss third gear either! LOL
