Default alternator

my alternator was bad and i got a new duralast one form autozone today. what do i need to know before i go take off my serpentine belt and switch them out tomorow?

Nothing really..it's pretty much take the belt off, remove the two alternator bolts, put the new alt. on and put the belt back on...done.
I always make sure the battery is disconnected first.
Also, take note of the routing of the belt before you take it off.
It's easier if you have someone else to hold the tensioner pulley while you put the belt back on.
It's a 10 min. job

Depending on the alternator you may need to pull the pully off the orig. and install it on the new one. This isn't always the case. Every alternator I have done it has been a 50/50 on the pully situation.

you better get use to changing them, autoscrape parts are junk... i had 3 of them in 6 months went wit a NAPA and shes still good

its a duralast one, i know duralast batteries las a long time so i dont expect less form this. also it has a free lifetime warranty. it came with a pully, and thats a good idea, get someone to hold the belt while i swop them out.
