Default 1967 mustang!

I got my mustang to start up and run. It was a bad ground at the starter. Now my headlights are not working. Is it the headlight switch? How do I check this. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well I have a 69 mustang and when you turn the light switch it makes a lock in or kinda like a click when it engages the headlights at least I think. So if it doesn't make that click or lock in motion then it could be the headlight switch. Also try the dimmer switch. The dimmer switch is on the floor near to the top and left. Mess with that a little, maybe it might help. Best of luck and I hope I could help.

Yeah sorry I posted the worng year, hehe , force of habit since I used to own a 67. So yeah its a 69 coupe! I went under the dash and tried to pull of the switch, then all of a sudden the headlights tarted to work. Now I have another problem, lol. The brake lights don't work now, lol. Man I tell ya, one thing after another with this thing. So I am gonna test the brake switch tomorrow when I have more time. I figure theres a bunch of wiring probs. If anybody has came across the same situation, let me know what ya did to fix it, if possible.

Thanks

Yup, I think the headlight switch also has something to do with the brake lights not working. I was just scanning my manual. Wonder if I would have to special order a new headlight switch, or maybe I would be able to find it at canadian tire or part source or something.

youd be surprised how many parts an ordinary parts store like autozone or pepboys will have for older cars like ours. try one of them if theres one near you.

No doubt. Glad to have the beast running again! Taking it in for anAVR tomorrow to make sure the charging system is up to par.
