My '98 ignition switch went "limp" today. turns very free and it won't start. I took the electrical switch part out and it moves fine. The mechanism will move forward when turning the key but it will not retract. Like the connection of the pin to the slide is broken. Is this a common thing? Can the pin be reattached or does something need replaced?
