If it does, it probably wouldn't be enough to tell. All depends on how you drive it.

It didn't increase the gas mileage in my 04 GT but removing the screen from in front of the MAF did.This leans the mixture somewhat and you must watch for detonation.If you hear any pings just replace the screen.The screen must have the wires running perpendicular to the element in the MAF.

it will compared to an old really dirty filter... it will also let a lot more stuff into the engine than a paper filter.
