Default Applying Vinyl

Over at MW, I picked up the reflective bumper inserts, and was wondering if Windex was OK to use to wet down the area while applying them?

They are reflective vinyl, don't know if that makes a difference. I had the windex sitting around, and no clean spray bottles to do the dish soap + water thing.

Thanks,

-John

That stuff never touches my Stang no matter what the finish is id use it on. Only use it for glass.

Windexdries faster than water so id forget using it. Some parts stores carry a solution for applying graphics and such. Use that, or just use water. A spray bottle is nice but as long as you keep the surface wet you should be fine.

If they are self adhesive, use alcohol on a cotton ball to clean the area and remove wax. Then rewax the area after you install the decals.

You need the application solution, otherwise you'll never be able to work out the air and you will end up with bumps in your vinyl. I know this because I have a son in the business (part time).
