i tried to install an aftermarket stereo in my 89 lx hatch and i went and bought the connectors and everything and when i turned the car on i have power to the unit but no sound coming from the speakers. what am i doing wrong here i figured using the connectors was just a plug and go thing.

 

My guess is you just made a mistake with the wiring, connected something wrong between the speakers and the unit. Double check it and make sure you connected all of the wires correctly and I guarantee you'll fix it.
