Default WIPERS MESSED UP

ok well i have a 1993 ford mustang my windshield wipers only workon the high setting...i have searched and the post with another person who had the same problem only posted 9 times and i don't think hes here any more so i sent him a pm anyways....but it doesn't say how to fix them....what happens is my wipers only work whenyou put them on high and i wanted to know what might be the problem

It is most likely the wiper motor,check the area where the motor is mounted and check for debris or water in the connector.If not remove steering column covers and check for power coming out of switch in different switch settings.Check for power at the motor in all switch settings also.this will tell you if the motor is receiving signal from switch.good luck.

ok well i think that i remember something about a chip for the wipers...any idea about that...i mean i dont' know anything about it...i think i also remember the chip being something that he might have replaced but i don't really remember all that much

a chip for the wipers... does it give it extra horsepower and make it go faster? lol. j/k.

Anywhoo im going with either bad wiper motor... or bad multifunction switch. Im gonna lean more twords the multifunction switch. They go bad on fords all the time. What i mean by this is the thing you turn to get them to work.

well acually lets see..i have done the back brakes and front left brake...did the back springs and shocks and have to paint it and then car is basicly in sound conidition..the is in sound conidition i mean the motor is but other things are messed up...its cool though...the other owner i guess didn't wash it and do things like that but i will...
