Default Extra Weight In 94-98 mustangs??

I read somewhere that Ford put a 25 lb. weight in the front of the 1994 - 1998 mustangs. I can't remember for the life of me where it was that I read it, but I wanted to look into it. Has anybody ever heard of this, and if so, where is it located?? Let me know if you have any other info. Thanks.

I remember something about this about 2 months ago reading it but it didnt apply to me. I thought it was around the right front quater pannel. I know i had about a 10-15 pound weight attached to my differential that i removed.

I have a 89 lx auto, I had a big weight right where my driveshaft meets the rearend flange. It was held on by 2 bolts probably something for vibration i dont know.

I believe you're speaking of the 25lb dampner bolted to the frame in front of the passenger side tire. It's only on verts and it purpose is to reduce cowl shake. Many have removed it without incident.

Thanks for the input guys. I will definitely have to check both locations for weight.

thats' definitely a vibration damper for the rear end you removed, hope it doens't cause you any problems not being on there, I would not have removed it myself but that's just me.
