idle problem

after my car is good and warmed up my it idles around 5-600rpm and then I'll hear a "click" and it'll move up to about 700rpm or so and will keep on doin this when I'm at a light...what could it b?..will it cause any problems if I dont get it looked at??

you've got your AC on, thats the compressor clutch kicking on and off

fans?...maybe the alt. has such a load it pulls the idle down

its your electric fan kicking on. the load caused by the fan causes the car to idle up

you can just hear it...it does it on mine as well...its not a big deal...it does it when your fan kicks on...your AC clutch...when you hold down both the buttons for the windows after they have rolled up or down...as i said...nothing to worry about
