Ignition problem???
Hey everyone. I have a '83 mustang that is an ex-4banger car.... Anyway, I went out for a boot with my bro, and it ran like a champ, but when I went to drive it 45 min later it was a different story. The car had a poor idle, and everytime I put it in gear it would stall. I just got my carb checked out by a guy who "knows what he's doing" and he checked over everything. After that it wasnt stumbleing or anything (my accelerater pump wasn't giving a dribble of fuel when it should be like a spitting viper lol) Well, I got mad lastnight, and just left it untill this morning. It started and ran awesome. I took off down the road sreamin', with no problem, but when i went to turn around the poor idle and stalling came back. Could this be my ignition box??? Its the stock duraspark from '83.... Any help or idea's would be awesome, thanx a lot!

RE: Ignition problem???
on my 95 gt i had the same problem (mine was efi, not carbed tho) and it was the tp sensor, switched that bad boy out and the problem was solved. if ur tp sensor goes bad, the car will start surging, then drop flat on its *** and stall.

DAANNNG! This is the first car I've "built", so I'm still learning lol. Thanx for your help!
... on Mitchell On-Demand it says to check the TPS when its falling on its face. Also it could be a stuck EGR valve. If anyone has any idea's, please hit me back!!
