upper control arms
ive got a couple days off next week and i was hoping to install my upper arms and subframes. i was wondering if for some reason im attacked by killer bees, have a heart attack or get abducted by aliens in the middle of the job and only get one done, will it be ok to drive around with one new arm and one old. the new is supposed to be a direct bolt in replacement. the only difference will be that the new arms will have polyurathan bushings.

RE: upper control arms
The next time you buy new sneakers just put one new one on for a day or two then later on wear both.....If you have the car all jacked up and positioned right and tools out, make sure you leave yourself some time to do both. The longest part of a job is usually jacking up the car and getting all your tools out that you need.
You do them the same time anyway. you unbolt your shocks, and lower the rear and take out your springs so you get some free movement in the rear then you unbolt the uppers off the rear and raise/lower/manuver the rear to get the bolts out and lower the rear all the way down. Then you'll have more acess to get them to get them off the frame...do them the same time. then reverse the process to get them on. goodluck!!
