Default Vaccuum Hoses

I've just had my reman 302 installed in my car, and had to replace the stock air cleaner assembly w/ a 10" air cleaner, due to clearance from my new distributor. Will not having all the vaccuum lines that were running to my old air cleaner hooked up anywhere have a negative impact? It's got a rocky idle right now, though I haven't gotten it timed right yet.

I've also got a vaccuum line running on the passenger side of the engine, along my valve covers that I can't figure out where it goes! Any thoughts?

It's an '84 Mercury Capri

Thanks
