Default ok 429 swap

Alright, I've had one question answered here, so lets see if I can get some more answers that I need. I'm doing the swap in a 96 stang. I'm using a 95 k member. Now I know a C6 will work, but would a AOD? How about the driveshaft, would I need to get it shortend up? Anyhelp would be great.[:-]

ford made some AOD's to work with the big blocks. I'm more in the info of like bell houseing width's and how tall they are, if they'd clear the tranny tunnel. Thanks for the info though.

contact the guys at www.lentechautomatics.com and see what they say about this swap. they pioneered the built up AOD tranny and know all there is to know about them. don't think a stock AOD would hold up to the higher torque of a 429, but if anyone could build one that would, Lentech could I'm sure as they make racing versions for upwards of 800 HP.

if this car will see a hugh amt of racing time...I would use a chevy power glide using a plate....spring will have to be replaced as some fab to the engine mounts...you will also need a manual rack.I would set that heavy *** engine back as far as you can....I would use a ground pounder cradle
