Opinion
I'm not new here but 2 months ago I sold my 2000 mustang gt to get money to move so I could go to college (also bought a 99 zx2 for gas milage) I have been missing it dearly and here shortly plan on buying another stang. I have narrowed it down to 3 choices and would just like your guys opinions. I will be looking at spended 6000-8000 on the car and putting 4000-5000 into it for now.. of course if I find a really nice car already done for 10k I might jump on it.
1: 99+ GT
2: 94-95 GT
3: 65-70
Now all have their ups and downs, the 94-95 are cheap and with the 5.0 easy to mod but have high milage. The 99+ are a little harded to work on and a little more exspensive. The 65-70 are also more exspensive and could require a lot of work but look the best. I'm 19, work part time and will be going to college full time. My goal is a fun weekend cruiser I can take to the drag strip and would like to get into the 11's.

I would say the 99+ but that is just because I like the style more than the 94/95's. Either one would be good if you can get a good price on them. I wouldn't recommend the 65-70 just because of the amount of constant work and moneyyou're gonna have to put into just keeping it running and restoring it. It's more of a money pit than anything, maybe when you get out of college and can afford to just throw money at a car that would be an option. I'm in college too, so believe me, I know how hard it is to be able to live on a limited budget and pretty much be broke all the time. I too wanted and old mustang, but when I thought about it, I realized that I just wouldn't be able to a)afford it, and b)spend enough time working on it. After college, that's another story..... But good luck with whatever you pick.
