Default T-56

Does anyone know, other then the gear ratios what's the difference from the Standard T56 and the Viper Spec?
I'm finding it's a lot cheaper and easier to find a Standard T56 but I don't want to *** myself out of some goodies.

Also, Will both use the same bellhousings?

I would imagine its the build quality. Stronger parts and so on. Maybe different gearing. I googled it and couldnt find a thing.

Other than gears, I can't think of anything... I've heard, though I don't know for a fact, that you have to be MORE careful with the Viper-spec trans because it's "primarily designed for cruising, with racing as a secondary endeavor" as one individual told me. Still, considering the Viper puts out 500hp (flywheel, I assume) it should be enough to handle most street cars' HP and torque.

Want to get one eventually for myself--everybody complains about the exhaust being too loud, but it's only ~2500 RPM at 80, in fifth with 3.55's. I'd just like the better gas mileage--I drive about 300 miles, one way, back and forth to college.
