1st official brakestand!
She's a five speed. Any ideas on how to launch the car from the line? I plan on going to the strip in a few weeks and have yet try try launching the car hard. I fiqure 2grand and feather the cluch and mash the loud peddle shift at red to 2nd and shift at 5700 for 3rd and so on. Does that sound good?</P>
hold steady at like 1500-2000 and pop clutch, should go good if got locking rear, if not may def squeal, to the red for racing
</P>test out your s**t on your street, figure out where you hook best at, the key may be to find one of two things 1. where you get no wheel spin and all go 2.least wheel spin possible #2 applys to alot of guys</P><edited><editID>greyfox</editID><editDate>38000.0636689815</editDate></edited>
Watch out power braking if you do it too much or too long you can and will overheat or break something.</P>
I've yet to power brake my stang.I just go with this theory if it wont get it from a dead stop i didnt build it right!</P>
But just about everyone i know with a nice fast ride has at one time or another showed off and did a power brake.Theyre very cool as long as its not my ride and i dont have to fix or replace the torn up s**t in it.<IMG src=smileys/smiley1.gif border="0"></P>
Brake stand is somthing you do on a bike, get going and hammer the front brake, rear comes off the ground, don't try it with a Harley thou <IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">
