Default 2 Wheel Burn outs?

After much researching I found what I need to do two wheel burn outs. I just want to know if I found the correct part. IS this what I would need http://www.gefracing.com/Merchant2/m...ry_Code=46REAR

If I am wrong or looking at the wrong item so I can do two wheel brun outs let me know. I also need to know what a Line Lock is? Summint sells one by SLP and its some wires and a switch. Thanks

Wrong part. It says OPEN, which means only one wheel will spin. What spline axles are you running? Stock, or something aftermarket. Hurst make a nice line lock called Roll Control. I have that one. Line lock is a device used mainly for racing and burnouts. it locks the non drive wheels so you can heat the tires up when racing.

you don't need a line lock. you need a no slip diff or to rebuild your stock traction-lok.

What kind of car do you have? I'll assume it's a newer model, so this is what you're looking for. Line lock keeps the pressure on the front brakes via a button you push with your finger. That allows you to spin/tighten the drivetrain without damaging the rear brakes.

If you have the stock rear end you need a 28 spline unit.I have one of these Tru-Trac rear ends and they do just what they claim.

If you are doing a burnout to heat the tires and are not applying the brakes to pull it off, try pulling the e-brake. We have torque sensing differentials, also called torsen. The way they work is if there is no resistance at a wheel, all the power is directed to the other wheel. So, in theory, if you apply some resistance to both wheels, both wheels will spin. I've used this method to get out of many snow drifts, so I know she works.

I need a 28spline 8.8in limited slip differnentail? Is this hard to install myself? If I cant do it on my own should I have done with the rear end gears? Is there anything else I would need, or should know about this? Finally does it matter that my car is a manual? Thanks for all of your help in sorting all of this out.
