Helped you out there. The polished version was an option. The stockers were painted.

The original GT's wouldn't necessarily be polished, there are a painted 5-spoke for GT's. Check the tire size. The GT will have 245's.
then can you explain to me why i see stock 5 spoke GTs that are polished??? ill look for a pic.

Thanks for the help, but I guess it doesn't matter too much anymore, I sold the car yesterday. I will have to go back to driving a beater for 3 more years until college is over. I'm gonna miss it.

WRONG. In 1999 some of the base model GT cars came with those wheels. They were used on the V6 later on. The 1999-2000 V6 wheels didn't look anything like that. They were a modified version of the previous V6 wheels.
