Just curious if anyone uses a tachometor with a shift light if so what kind, do you like it, etc. Are they hard to install, is it controlled digitally, or not? thanks

I'm running an Autometer 5" Monster tach with a shift light and it works really well. just follow the installation instructions that come with it and it will install fairly easily. there are four wires involved with the installation: one is for power, one is a ground, one is for the light in the tach, and the fourth is the tach sensor wire. this tach is an analog one where you can push in a button and move the needle to where you want the shift light to come on and it will repeat this point every time.

They make those 5" monster tachs so you old timers can see them without your reading glasses!!! [sm=laughat.gif]

Seriously though, I let my dad make a pass in my car, he was granny shifting it. I was like WTF? He said he couldn't read the tach!!! HAHAHA! Poor guy!
