Default Need Some Help Quick!!

I'm currently pulling the transmission out of my 96 cobra in my garage. The Chilton manual says I am supposed to "remove the fasteners from the dual catalytic converter Y-Pipe and remove it from the car." Obviously my car has an H-Pipe, not a Y, and I am finding it impossible to reach the manifold to H-Pipe bolts with an end wrench or a ratchet. My question is do I HAVE TO drop the H-pipe or can I just unbolt it from the transmission support and pull the transmission that way? All responses are greatly appreciated, I miss driving my stang.

Yea your gonna have to drop it, its in the way of dropping the tranny and you'd prolly need to lower the engine/tranny down some anyways to reach the top couple tranny bolts. I dunno about on a Cobra, but all thats needed for the GT's is a swivel and extension to get the h-pipe off the manifold.
