Its been awhile since I've been drag racing so I don't have the exact numbers but, if you go faster than X mph or quicker than Y seconds, then you need a roll bar. If you go faster than XX mph or quicker than YY seconds then you need a roll cage and 5 point seat belts. And so on and so on. Basically, the faster you go, the more safety equipment you will need. We used to run a 200 mph front engine vintage style dragster under 7 seconds. We need parachutes, fire suit, fire suppression system, blower straps, diaper (oil pan, not underwear). Also, the chassis needed double roll hoops over the drivers head, etc...

Drag Racing.....
Free mods
1) Gut interior. Remove any, and I mean ANY interior that you do not need. (Example: Back seat, passenger seat, radio, speakers, carpeting, sound deading(sp) material, stc...). Also remove the wing. You won't be going fast enough to need one and its drag so it will just slow you down.
2) At least put your stock front grill pieces back on. That after market piece looks like it has the aerodynamics of a dairy barn.

$$$ Mods
1) NOS, Superscarger, or Turbo. (Supercharger in my opinion. No bottle to refill $$$. Turbos have lag and belong on Hondas.)
2) Wider rubber in the rear. Stock shoes will get eaten up at the track.
3) Different rear gears

That should get you started.

are you retarded?!?!?! i guess u need to tell the drag racers that there turbos are on the wrong car.

if you want REAL power a properly sized turbo can have boost built around 2500-3000rpm.

to the OP buy a supercharger and call it a day.

...But what do I do to the suspension?
Right now, I wouldn't do anything. I would wait until you have enough HP to get the front end in the air to warrant it. Spend your money on the fun go fast parts now. Make sure your front brakes are good. Not stopping from that speed can really ruin your day.

P.S. A roll cage will need to be added sooner or later depending on how fast you go. Call your local drag strip to find out the details. If you go faster than you safety equipment will allow, they will take great pleasure in kicking your A$$ right off the track.
you need the proper suspension to lift the front in the air.

DO NOT give advice if you dont know what your talking about. SUSPENSION should be ONE OF THE FIRST MODS.

and the time your looking for is 11.49 IIRC

So far you've given this kid the worst info I've seen in a while. Don't bother with suspension? Turbos belong on Hondas? What planet are you from?

Seriously, don't go handing out info that you don't have a clue about. Kiid, head over to the Street and Strip section if you need help with putting a track car together.

I didn't know that it was SOP for Moderators to call people retarded.
If turbos are the way to go, then I guess you need to tell all the PROFESSIONAL drag racers running V8's to ditch the blowers and fit turbos. I didn't know John Force and all those guys were wrong.

He is looking for motor upgrades first, not suspension.

Lets at least compare apples to apples. When someone builds a turbo that can hold up to the 8000+ hp that TF Rails and Funny Cars make, then it absolutely will be the way to go. Turbos generally make more power, and don't rob horsepower to turn them. When sized and set up properly, turbos are WAY more efficient than a supercharger.
