Default Oil Pump Delimma?

Hi all,

I am in the middle of rebuilding a 289 for a mustang which has been modified abit bored 60 over and a little bigger cam with a duration of 280.
Now it is time to purchase an oil pump and I was wondering should I go with a high volume or stock.
I will have a stock oil pan.
I have been told that HV would be to much and other people have recommended that I use HV.
If anyone can shed light on the subject. I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks 289v8

personally I'd only use a high volume on a wore out motor with bad clearances. stock pump is more than fine on a good clearanced motor
