No start on a '99
Well my girlfriend called me today and said her car wont start. I went over to her house and when i turned the key it only clicked. So i tried jumping it and still only a click. i thought it was the battery but all her electronics work, so i kinda ruled that out. So im not sure what it is next, her alternator or her starter, or something else. Please help her/me out cause she has to get to class.
Thanks
Thanks

test it in this order:
1) take the battery out, take it down to a local parts shop, have it tested/charged
doesnt work...
2) clean the terminals with a wire brush as well as the battery clamps
still doesn't work...
3) Pop open the fuse box in the engine right above the battery, 5th one from the right should be your starter fuse, check it...good
someone's stole your lucky charms and its still clickin'
4) remote-jump the starter to see if the wire has been damaged
and if all else fails then
5) starter has crapped out, you can test it at a local parts store and/or replace it

RE: No start on a '99
alright well we replaced the starter and charged the battery. so we ran it for a while and then shut it off....after we shut it off it wouldnt start back up, so we got a free battery cause of a warranty...and we are gonna try that tomorrow....if you think it could be anything else let me know.
