ABOUT THIS MUSTANG
ok well...now i know probably everyone here is going to be against this but just hear me out and give me some help please....ok i found a mustang for 800 because it was hit in the front.....now i know to ask about the frame and if it is bent...is there anything else to look for....i am thinking that it was just a bad fender bender and i willl have the money to replace the fenders hood and the nose...so basicly if i go and check it out and it doesn't look that is it a good idea or what

RE: ABOUT THIS MUSTANG
What year is it? What is the drivetrain? Buying salvage can be a good deal depending on the damage. depending on how hard it was hit there may be damage to the rad/rad support or engine accessories if you are really unlucky there could be damage to the engine internals (but it would need to be hit REALLY hard for that). MY 2 cents buy a turn key car something you can drive tomorrow, save the projects for another day. $800 for salvage is also probably high unless it is relatively new. I put a bid on a '91 5.0 with 190k km (non repairable) for $300 last saturday FYI.
