Default a question for SERIOUS ENGINE BUILDERS

looking for input on variable lifters for my 289 build.

has anyone used rhoades lifters? how about the crane "fast bleed" or hi intensity as they are now known as

im trying to figure out if

a) they really work good enough to warrant the cost of buying
b) if one is better than the other

btw, they make these in rollers too (at least rhoads does) so you EFI guys may have just stumbled upon some go-fast goodness

Both of those things are really the same.
Using either one would sort of depend on the cam you want to use.
They were originally for NHRA stock elimintor where peeps use real long duration hydraulic cams that are stock lift.........

I'm using the Comp lifters on my car. They do make a difference, but mainly because stock-style lifters can't really handle high lift without problems with sticking.
