Default plugs black...runs bad.

Shortly after I got my car the cats went bad. So now i have gutted cats and no exhuast..just straight H pipes. The car will bog heavily in the morning and eventually run better as it warms up..but never perfect. I looked at the plugs and they are black! They may be a little wet but id have to double check.

Is it my timing that is off? The place that did my pipes for me said he would have to put the o2 sensor farther up or something like that so I wouldnt get a CEL. Would changing my timing and getting new plugs fix it or can it be something else?

Like in the morning i have to rev to about 1800rpms and then slowly let the clutch out for it to get going. Once it gets going the other gears are fine its just 1st gear when its cold.

thanks for the help.

I just pulled another plug and it doesent seem that bad. The first one was all black. this second one is fairly good. It still has white and normal. it seems like only certin plugs are going bad. I replaced 1 plug 2 weeks agoand it looks almost black again but the others look fine.

your most likely running way to rich, where did he move the O2 sensors? Does the car smell like gas when its running or are you getting any black smoke out of the exhaust?

I think he moved them in front of the cats or something like that so i wouldnt get a CEL is what he told me. It ran fine after he did it and evenutally i started having this bogging problem. I dont see any smoke from the pipes but I do smell a little something if I let it sit and idle. I cant quite tell what it is but its barley noticable...and not no wicked smell....other people have no idea there is a smell.

Im just worried that maby a gasket is bad and is leaking oil into that 1 or few cylinders or maby the injector is dirty.

thanks for the help.

Sounds like you have some leaky injectors, fouling plugs on one cylinder and not another. Might try pulling the fuel rail and moving the injectors around to see if the problem pertains to a certain injector.
