ok so the driver side window in my 2002 mustang wont go up.the passenger window works fine. if i push the button up the motor dosent do anything if i push it down it clicks. the click is louder than the passenger window if you try to put it down once it is already down. what could be wrong and how do i fix it?

 

Sounds like the motor, or parts of the window motor assembly need to be replaced.

If you want to try something daring, you can take the door apart and try to see what could be causing it.

It's also a better idea to do this and replace all the parts yourself, because it will save a lot of money.

Just get a manual so you know how to get the door panel off and where all the parts go, etc.

 

what do you mean by "it clicks"??

 

its the regulator. theyre cheap, do the install yourself, its fairly easy.

 

Same problem.. but I can't get the tracks and everything back where it was... they wont move.. go figure.. and I don't have a manual

 

A manual costs about, what, $20? It's probably the best money can buy in terms of your cars life.

If you can't afford it, sell your car and get some crappy civic.
