Default OEM replacement for distributor gear?

I do appologize if this post is in the wrong place, I am new here. Does anyone happen to knowany part numbers for an OEM replacement Distributor Gear for the 2.3L Turbo's? I have an 88 Turbo Bird I am fixing up and the Auxilary shaft and Dist. gear are toasted. I was able to find a replacement Aux Shaft.
Thank You

Default RE: OEM replacement for distributor gear?

is it making a squealing noise? almost like a bad belt?
if so, you may have to buy a whole new distributor. in my 95 gt i had to buy a whole new distributor bc ford didnt sell that part individually.
BUT, i dont know if this is the problem you are having.

Thank You Murdoc, I was not getting spark, and when I cranked the engine, the rotor was not turning, so I pulled the distributor and found that the Dist. gear and the Aux. Shaft gear were shreaded.
Just to update anyone who stumbles across this post looking for the same information, I was able to find an OEM replacement, and this is for "all" Ford 2.3L's turbo or n/a.
