You have to be brave and take it
very low.
Have a few gallons in a
can cause
you don't want to run the pump dry.

what harm does it do to the car by runnin out of fuel? I'm sure it's not good, just wondering what it does to the motor?

If there is any sand, sediment rust etc in your tank it will be sucked into the fuel flilter. Clogging and reducing performance and drivability. This was alot more common on older cars that had metal fuel tanks. Nothing will happen to your pump if you run out of gas, the car will just stop[8D]
