What do you guys think?
Hello everyone, I hear good things about you guys and would like your opinion. I am considering purchasing a 1998 FORD MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE (ROUGE EDITION) W/LAMBO DOORS -TAN LEATHER, CHROME WHEELS V6 5SPEED 93K MILES. It looks really nice.. here is a picture.

Do you mean Roush? Roush has never made a V6 Mustang. This just looks like a Mustang with some mods, ones I personally do not care for at all. What are you looking for in the car? This guy is trying to rip you off and doesn't have a clue what hes talking about saying that it is a Roush. There is nothing special about that car at all. IMO keep looking.

well, he wants 5k for it, and says it's a rogue edition.. not sure what that is though. For a normal convertible mustang, bluebook is 7k I think? I guess I'm looking for a nice looking stang.. Power is not a huge concern, but I def don't want to get ripped off. I would like to get a good deal.

i wouldnt buy it. the "rogue" edition crap is just something he made up..probably has something to do with the pos body kit he put on it. i would look somewhere else, its probably ben beaten on and the mods are probably not done right. (the car will probably fall apart piece by piece).
as a side note, roush did do a v6.. i know they did in 2000, not sure about any other years. its stock engine wise but has a few things like roush springs and the whole body kit with side exhaust. it probably has a few more small things done to it but not much.

Check your local autotrader.com listings to see what's available for $5K. You've basically got to choose between a newer base model or an older loaded Stang. V6's are quite common, as Ford made a lot of them lol, and owners quickly get tired of their slowness & upgrade to GT

You said that power was not a concern to you, so sticking with a V6 would seem to be the way to go. For $5K you would be able to pick up any non-GT up until 98 very easily, 1999 V6 possibly, atleast if you came across a deal. Personally, I would not add any extra $ for a vert that is pre 98 as the 94-98 are more readily available for pretty cheap as it is. Good luck with your search!
