throttle cable on 90 mustang

throttle cable on 90 mustang
have a 90 mustang 5.0 that was fuel injected, and now switched over to a carbed motor. is there a was i can use my stock throttle cable or do i have to get a carbed cable? also what else would i need to get the cable on as far as brackets to mount to the carb? thanks in advance
