So my Dad has been watching me build my 68 for a few months now and keeps bugging me on what he can do with his 2001 GT. He already has a flowmaster exhaust, but that's about it. I keep joking around and telling him to supercharge it and swap out the gears, but he says no way too expensive. So aside from gears what are some of the best mods he can do for under 1k? I keep hearing all this talk about cams and heads, any reccomendations? Thanks!

Oh yeah, the only reason he wants to do this is so that his car is still faster than mine. HAHA like that's gonna happen!

well if all you dad has is an exhaust, I would suggest a CAI, and then a new (70 or 75mm) TB and Penulim that way he will be flowing more air into the motor, if he wants more after that get a programmer. I just got my TB and Penulim with the tuner for $650 and you can deff get a CAI for what is left over. JMO

BTW if he put gears in the car the total cost of gears would be between $250-500 or so for the gears and install.

I agree with DIVER8374, my first three choices in order would be a CAI, gears, and a programmer.

So what is a densecharger? I guessing it has something to do with the intake? Also it's an automatic so a shifter wouldn't do him much good.
