well im going to school to be an automotive mechanical engineer, and we learn how to design and build every part of the car. plus Arizona State University PolyTechnic campus is a certified haas learning center so they give us new CNC machines every 2 years or so, and the best part is we can use them to make whatever we want. people have done it before, not for a stang tho, but i want to do it. also another awesome feature is that my ME teacher works for haas and does all this too.

thats how im going to do it

umm they dont teach you that in mech eng school.... i know bc ive been there and done that, im mean youll get basics hands on, and learn all about design and fabrication with machines, but the grease monkey aspect they dont teach you, unless you specialize in nascar or something... and in that case - good luck getting a job

At my college, they did let the engineers get hands on with the design and fabrication. Not all schools are the same.

Post in the Classic forum, cprstreetmachines has at least 1 turbo classic Mustang, and has done others so he can tell you more about what would be involved in getting it setup well in a classic.

And yeah, they don't teach you everything in engineering school, otherwise you'd be there until you died of old age and never graduate
