Default Pro Engine Builder

Hi, I'm searching for an engine builder, actually I want to builda 351W for my 73 Mustangon my own, but there are too much things to care about such as Dynamic compression ratio and static compression ratio, altitude, purposes, cam duration, choosing parts, and all such things that I need to learn about. Does anybody knows where i can find information about it? I've been searching around and could hardly find some, but unfortunatelly each author explains a different issue and not in a whole. ShouldI need to spend some days with an engine builder to learn about much of the aspects or it would be better to attend an specific school? Does it exists a book which envolves great part of it?

Excuse me for the spelling mistakes,my english is not so good.
I'm from Mexico City, I post my question here because although there are good engine builders in Mexico, they're hard to find and it would be easier for me to learn by visiting an american school, reading about it or posting around forums.

I would appreciate very much your answer...
Thanks

Please, take a little of your time for answering, there should be someone here who has been in a similar situation.

There are several good books out there. It depends on what you want, stock rebuild etc.
http://www.themotorbookstore.com/reb...lock-ford.htmlis a good start.

As for a school, http://www.wyotech.edu/

Thanks Gary, it seems to be more complete;I'd read the book "How to rebuild Small Block Ford Engines" by Tom Monroe, it's good, although it doesn't bring up issues like first firing up.

I would like to know a little more about stroker kits, compression, mechanical timing, ignition timing... something more related on building up an engine for street use (by these I mean it has a muchlonger life than a race engine) and still have the power for having some fun at the strip.

Also the school is very good,I didn't know it.I'll contact them and plan my next vacations.
