A TON of weight in the trunk can sure help a lot if you're trying to get traction while accelerating. But if you overdo it, watch outif you'recoming to a panic stop & all that rear weight makes the cars butt end want to swing to the front!

I was looking for some CHEAP yet good full winter tires for my '02 GT & bought a set of Champiro brand. I've never heard of them before but trusted the tire store guy. He said they're as good as Blizzaks but a LOT cheaper. Sure enough they are great winter tires. Look around for a store that sells them.

i like my blizzak's remember when getting your size that in snow you want a thin tire not a wide tire a lot of people come into my work and want to order wider snow tires than their summer tires and its stupid so when you do get them get the skinniest winter tire you can get on your rims, also get a q rated they are the softest while they wont last as long they are so much better than the other ones.

+1 on the sandbgs they really help but remember to start braking a bit earlier cause it takes more distance to stop more wieght

If snow is in the forcast, fill the tank to add more weight over rear tires.
