Default NWC T5 conversion

Is it possible to take a Non World Class Borg Warner T5 transmission from the early 1980's and rebuild it using the World Class Kit and a longer Input shaft for the 1994-1995 Mustangs, so that it would have the good fiber syncros and such that the newer trannies have. Even if it had a slightly different gear ratio, is this possible to do or are the syncros totally different and non compatible. Im not to familiar with the older trannies, so any help would be great. Thanks

Default RE: NWC T5 conversion

According to modern drivelines (tranny specialist) the NWC T5 can be up graded to be stronger but it isn't worth the time and effort, it would be better to start with a WC T5

No if my memory serves there were other differences with the 5speeds in the SN95 cars that make them incompatable with the earlier T5's
