You have about as much whp as a stock S197, but you have a bit more torque. I think it would be close if you got a good launch, but the S197 would come out on top.

that could almost come out to a drivers race. s197's are heavier than newedges but your in a vert so i'd say weight about equal with same hp according to ^

I'd say it's a drivers race. The new Mustangs launch pretty good, it'd be close if it's a manual.

I don't see why everybody is thinking 80's when they had THREE speed automatics and that's why five speed manual was always faster. Auto on an S197 is 5 spd. just like manual and it's not any slower. As a matter of fact I beat 2 different S197's with manual trannies when mine was still stock. To get closer to the subject though, S197's have better 1/4 mile time than 14.2 even when stock. My AUTO was running 13.7 when the only mod I had was wider 255 tires. I'd say if you come across a sh!tty driver you're gonna win, otherwise you'll have your behind handed to you. Nice mod list btw.

you can do some math and figure this out and get a good general idea of related hp to each other....

verts weight around 3370 so to find your hp to weight ratio, divide those you should get 12.96 lbs per hp
he gets 3616 so hes putting around 13.65 lbs per hp

now you know how much rwhp your putting down which you say is 260, he should be putting down 265 but you have to take into the weight which would be 246lbs. now you divide that by your lb/hp.

doing so should be a close comparison. it would put you guys at an even weight, in which case youd gain hp.

so... 18.9 + 260 = 278.9 vs. 265.... that hp would be as if you guys both had s197s, which would give you an edge over him due to weight.

I say youd win by half a car maybe less

(yes i know i have too much time on my hands during classes)
