By the way, Mach 1's were conservatively rated. They are closer to 330hp.

That is good news. If that is stock then I can squeeze more with my simple mods.

Also, CMDP= I have to do a search and figure out what that is. I thought I was up to speed on all the 4.6l mods. Guess not.

The charge motion control valves are these small valves in each intake runner on 3V 4.6L motors. The purpose of these valves is to help the swirl affect of the air/fuel mix which boost low end torque and fuel economy. When the engine is under 3000rpm, the valves are closed leaving only about a quarter of the intake runner open, above 3000rpm the valves open up. However, when the valves are open there is a small cross-section still. Removing these valves can add a few horsepower, some people say 10hp, a more realistic number is 6-8hp. Some people also say that you lose a little low end torque, I've seen dyno sheets that don't show any loss in torque. You lose a little fuel economy, and a tune IS required to run delete plates.

When the S197's first came out, you could buy the delete plates through FRPP for like $70. Now, Steeda is making them and the cast aluminum ones start at $140. There is a billet set available that cost $300 but they do not offer any advantage over the cast plates. I bought my billet plates used for $90, thats why I got them.

I see you have the Mach 1! What are we talking about when it comes to power and mods for the Mach 1? I am only looking on doing small mods like the tune, some UD's, CAI, 3:55 (if it doesn't already have them), and just some flow masters.

Yes they have an 05. Do I want it? I did no research! (My bad)
naw man i wish, my car is just a GT with mach1 rims on it (came with those when i got it, i'm gonna save up + swap em out once i get my gears installed probably).

ask around in the mach1 or even the cobra section (same motor), they respond fairly well to bolt ons. mach1 will have a higher redline than the GT also.

if you really dont like the body style dont get it. dont drive a car you dont like. if you like it or dont mind it i would suggest the mach1 vs. the gt hands down

you should go with the mach 1 because it looks infinitely more badass than the GT
