I heard that flowmaster lost there design pattent, and there are other companies making the same design spec muffler. A guy at the local speed shop told me about it and is getting some design literature next week from a company.Search for flowmaster on Ebay this is what i found http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33636
Anyone else heard of this.

 

Not enough of a price difference to justify taking a risk IMO. The only way to know for sure is dyno testing.

 

just last week i was going to buy some of these knock offs..they look just like a flow master, and the real flow was only 5.00 more..the man at the store said that they are ok for the money but are not any where near the real sound of a true flowmaster...if you want the flow master dound..than buy a real flow...or you will be dis apointed..so that is what i was told anyway..i my self got the real thing..

 

I have flowmasters and I am happy with them. Be careful with cheap imitations.

they didn't lose it ..it ran out your only have some much time on a patent this is why most place will do small changes after a few year
